RIKKI STERLING has been studying music since the age of 9, and is a proficient artist on the piano, saxophone, flute, clarinet, drums, guitar and bass guitar, and has consistently been performing in orchestras, jazz bands and rock bands for over 20 years.
He studied under Hal Leonard publishing artist Colgan Bryan for several years on guitar, and names Stu Hamm as his number one influence on bass guitar. Rikki has been involved in Concert Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra since the 4th Grade, and holds a degree in Music Performance from RCC in Riverside, CA, and another from MI in Hollywood, CA.
He has marched as a musician in the Rose Parade, Hollywood Christmas parade, Carnival in Nice, France, performed directly for a private performance for the President Of France, and has shared the stage with artists such as Everclear, Unwritten Law, The Used, Sublime, and Kesha.
He has also performed with Russ McKinnon and legendary funk R&B band Tower Of Power, and has performed halftime shows for major NFL teams the Atlanta Falcons, San Diego Chargers, San Fransisco 49ers, and the Minnesota Vikings. He was a major contributing songwriter for the rock group IDASAS, and can be found in the music video “Enjoy The Rest”, and also with Rosie And The Cobras, “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming”.
Rikki has also made a career of performing in such tribute bands as Skid Road, the Faux Fighters, Blink 180 Too, and is now fulfilling the role of one of his favorite artists, Nikki Sixx in the blockbuster Las Vegas act Mötley Nüe.
